Is Emmett J Scanlon wasted in Hollyoaks?

I was actually thinking this the other day. I was wondering what his role would be in EastEnders or something and if he would be able to play a different character or if he would be a bad boy again. I don't think he is wasted in Hollyoaks as he's had some good storylines both serious and comical and his character is very complex I would like Hollyoaks to explore his character further.
