Can you be allergic to weed?

When I smoke marijuana, I get really sick. Like, vomitting. Sometimes I get a good experience, but it's rare. 98% of the time I get paranoid and psychotic. I seriously convulse and shake and twitch no matter what I'm doing. My boyfriend compared it to "being tazed", like by a tazer gun? From merely weed, nothing else. My mind takes over and I can't control my body and it's movement. Is this an allergy maybe? Or do I just have a low tolerance? Either way, obviously I know I can't do it anymore... But I'm just wondering your opinion?
